Developer Position - Full Time

We are looking for a well-rounded web developer, who is responsible, impressionable and capable of working well independently and with others. Most importantly, you must have a good attitude and a desire to be a major contributor to our company growth.

Main Duties

This position will design, develop and maintain client websites and company web-based applications using the latest technologies and working on all phases of a project, from inception to delivery. The Developer will have the responsibility and ownership for design and deliverables for a project. He/she must have the ability and ambition to design high performance, robust, high quality, supportable and maintainable web site application(s). Must perform other related duties as needed to ensure effective operation and profitability of the company.

Requirements

1. Any type of undergraduate degree or 2+ years of related working experience
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Ability to work independently on projects of moderate to broad scope.
4. Knowledge of programming tools, methods, platforms and operating systems. Ability to productively apply programming tools to solve business challenges and problems.
5. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
6. Solid understanding of web site design, user interface design principles and usability testing.
7. Knowledge of Linux, Apache, HTML, Javascript, CSS, and PHP.
8. Ruby on Rails experience is a tremendous plus. (or willingness to learn)
9. Willing to sign a non-compete and non-disclosure agreement.
10. Must have dependable transportation and valid drivers license.
11. eCommerce experience a plus.

Graphic Designer - Part-Time

We are actively recruiting an experienced and talented graphics designer to join our creative talent. IDM Firm LLC is a rapidly growing web/print/marketing company. As a graphic designer you will be responsible for creating top quality designs for web and print mediums for business-to-business clients while also leading design efforts for an upcoming magazine. Must be comfortable and confident working and meeting directly with our clients, leading tasks independently and meeting deadlines. Requires 3+ years of graphic experience or a degree in design-related areas, Proficiency in Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, is required. Please send a resume, cover letter, and at least three samples. Also, include a brief description of the projects and role that you played on each of them. Along with your resume please send a cover letter and a link to your portfolio or samples of your work.

Experience/Skill Requirements

1. 2+ years creative design experience working with corporate clients.
2. Demonstrated ability to develop designs for various print and web media.
3. Must have strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a good understanding of the creative disciplines.
4. Education/Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Art, Information Design, or related work experience is preferred.
